Named after the native, energy absorbing Igni bugs, production of this handgun was started by Omegaton shortly after their onetime rivals Earth Weapon Enterprises announced their return to the Calypso market.

Thanks to the newly developed 'IgniTe Optix L2k' energy converter, the brand new L2k series is faster and more powerful than the L1k. The L2000, however, does not fully utilize the power of this new component.
