Mission "Missing piece"

Anna Bjorkdottir

"Hello! How nice of you to drop by.

I take it you're here for the job?"

Choices:

  • What job?
  • Yes, that's right.
  • No, I mistook you for someone else.

If you choose "What job?"

Anna Bjorkdottir

"I am in the desperate need of an extra hand here.

It will involve study of the A.I.s in the area as well as some guard duty. Interested?"

Choices:

  •  A.I.s?
  • Yeah.
  • I have better things to do.

If you choose "A.I.s?"

Anna Bjorkdottir   :

"A.I. Artificial Intelligence... thinking machines... Robots... You know, shining metal things that rebelled against their creators. You have heard of them, I hope?"

 Choices:

  • Well, yes of course. Now about the job?
  • I will not stand insults from the likes of you.

If you choose "Yes, that's right." or "Well, yes of course. Now about the job?"

Anna Bjorkdottir :

"Well, I'm Anna, by the way. I'm from Valhalla University on Callisto, and I'm here to do a field study of the robot's spychology. My grants are not that big, so I cannot offer you any grand payments, but you will do the scientific world a big favour.

Tell me, do you have any experience with robots?"

 Choices:

  • Yeah. I have destroyed my share of them. It is beautiful how effectively modern weaponry is when it comes to put holes through the tin cans.
  • Well, I have been in close contact with them a couple of times.
  • No, not really.

If you choose "Yeah. I have destroyed my share of them. It is beautiful how effectively
modern weaponry is when it comes to put holes through the tin cans"

Anna Bjorkdottir :

" That's exatctly the attitude I don't need! Go play with Genesis Star or that crazy prophet if destroying robots is what get you off. Now, get out of my sight."

 Choices:

  • ...

If you choose "Well, I have been in close contact with them a couple of times"

Anna Bjorkdottir  :

" Then I hope you know how to stay out of their way."

 Choices:

  • I will do my best.

If you choose "I will do my best."

Anna Bjorkdottir :

" Anyway. Let's look on what needs to be done. I have two minor tasks to start with. I need someone who can go out into robot territory and reset some cameras there so that I can observe them.

I also need someone that can guard the area around the camp and fend off wild beasts."

 Choices:

  • Tell me more about resetting the cameras.
  • Tell me more about guarding the camp.
  • No, I have changed my mind.

If you choose "Tell me more about resetting the cameras"

-> "Reset the cameras" Mission

If you choose "Tell me more about guarding the camp"

-> "Patrol the camp" Mission

After "Patrol the camp" mission :

Anna Bjorkdottir  :

"Good you are back. The camp should be safe for some time. I have another job that would fit you if you are interested?"

Choices:

  • Tell me about the job.
  • What was that about placing cameras?
  • No thank you. I have other things to do right now.

Anna Bjorkdottir :

Good you are back. The camp should be safe for some time. I have another job for you, if you are interested, that is. I Have some cameras that need attendance"''

Choices:

  • Resetting cameras? Tell me More!
  • Thanks but no. I changed my mind.

Return if "Reset the cameras" Mission Failed:

Anna Bjorkdottir :

'What happened?"

Choices:

  • I was spotted. I had to defend myseft, and that got the attention of the robots.

If you choose "I was spotted. I had to defend myseft, and that got the attention of the robots."

Anna Bjorkdottir :

'Oh no! That means that all your work was undone!"

Choices:

  • Don't worry! I'll be at it again, as soon as I get my breath back.

After "Reset the Cameras" mission :

Anna Bjorkdottir :

" Well done! The cameras are transmitting and we have both good audio and visuals. Let's see how long they last this time.

You're very good at dodging robots. With that in mind I have another job that would fit you perfectly."

 Choices:

  • Tell me about the job.
  • Thanks but no. I have other things to do right now.

If "Patrol the camp" and "Reset the cameras" missions are completed:

Anna Bjorkdottir :

" I haven't finished my research yet. Please come back later"

------------------

Anna Bjorkdottir

I have collected robot parts that were left by the no-brain scientists of Genesis Star and their equally brainless freelancers.  My goal is to assemble a robot so that I can communicate with it in a safe and controlled environment.

The problem is that the robots fry their memory banks when they are captured or sustain heavy damage which makes it impossible to reactivate them.

One of my contacts has been able to get an almost intact robot memory from the Genesis Star labs.  but now I am not able to contact him for some reason.

I want you to go to his last known coordinates 75552 by 68065, and find out what has happened to him.  It would be nice if you could bring back the robot memory to me.    Can you do that for me ?

Choices:

  • Okay, I will do it.
  • You seem to have a problem with Genesis Star?
  • I dont want to get into trouble with Genesis Star and end up on one of their mining asteroids for the rest of my life.

If you choose 'You seem to have a problem with Genesis Star?':

A problem... well, how can I express my feelings for them? Hmm oh yes.  They are a bunch of pricks!

They care only for money, nothing else! If they find something through their research, they will do whatever earns them the most PED, even if it means hiding their findings from the publick or the scientific world.

And their scientists! Greedy back-stabbing monkeys!  They are the kind of people that would try to mend a broken window by hitting it with a hammer!  How can we learn about the robots and what they want by blasting them to pieces?

So year, I have problems with them.

Choices:

  • Ehhh, well, I will take the job.
  • Do you have anything else that you need done?
  • Okay... well... I sort of have to be someplace right now. Bye!

If you choose 'Do you have anything else that you need done?':

I'm afraid not, not at the moment.  Will you please help me find the contact?

Choices:

  • Okay, I'll do it.
  • Thanks but no.
